Adaptor or Innovator?: Sell Your Ideas, Find Your Perfect Job, and Understand Your Partner
Half-Day Workshop, Monday, March 27 * 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Presented by:
Dr. Charles Prather,
CW Prather Associates
Dr. Bobby Phillips, Exponential Solutions
Vision:
You will have a renewed excitement about going to work
because you have at last found the right job, or you have
restructured your current job as a perfect match for yourself.
You are able to sell your ideas to your leaders, and your
personal impact has dramatically increased as a result. You
now understand your spouse or life-partner, children, boss
and friends prefer to think, and you have strengthened your
relationships with them.
Learning Objectives:
- The critical concept that creativity
comes in flavors, like ice cream, and that the flavor
of your "creativity ice cream" determines your preferred
role in Innovation, your perfect job, and relationships
that flow smoothly.
- How to sell ideas to people who don't
think like you do.
- How to tell which preferred creativity
style the other person uses, and how best to approach
them to get the results you want.
- The foundations of Creative Thinking
and how it relates to problem-solving.
- How to avoid the most common pitfalls
in Innovation
- The importance of all flavors of "creativity
ice cream" and how to build value for individuals whose
flavor is different from your own, even if you hate the
wicked so-and-so.
|
Activities/Experientials:
- Every participant will complete the KAI
questionnaire, and will receive personalized feedback
and interpretation during the workshop.
- Participants will be grouped according
to creativity style for exercises that demonstrate the
strengths and the weaknesses of each particular style.
- Participants will role play discerning
another person's style.
- Participants will role-play selling an
idea to a person with the opposite creativity style to
their own.
Take-Aways:
- Your feedback results on the KAI with Dr. Michael Kirton's
8-page explanation
- Handouts describing the workshop.
- Role-Play response sheet.
