- 3/99 -- "Out of the Corral and into the Workplace: Putting Monty Roberts' 'Join Up Principles to Work."
1998 Innovation University Fellowship project report by Greg Furrow, Eli Lilly and Company; Diana Elliott, Dell Learning and Andrea Woodward, Innovation Network
After seeing a Monty Roberts demonstration at the Innovation Network's Convergence '98 in Santa Barbara, this team became intrigued with the question of how "join up," a process designed for building a collaborative relationship with a horse, could be applied to human interactions in both personal and professional life.
- 12/98 -- "The Artists"
Innovation University - 1998 Fellows
by Tim Mills, Greg Fleet, Robin Cook, Mary Gravelle, Harold Sharples
We studied a total of 18 innovative companies. We visited eight companies and heard from company representatives from the remaining 10 companies in a panel discussion format. We also looked at our 1998 student body as a whole to see whether we were fitting into our model of an innovative organization. As we studied these companies, The Artists Project Group discovered and identified a set of elements that we think make up a model of an innovative organization. We have used the molecular model as the vehicle as further exploration of this theory.
- 11/98 -- "The Creativity
and Innovation Survey Summary
Report of Results"
by Ruth Ann Hattori
In the spring of 1997, a survey was conducted on the use of creative thinking techniques and innovation processes by companies. The response was great, which confirms that Innovation and Creativity are hot business topics. These results highlight the fact that more and more businesses are actively seeking ways to improve their competitive edge through higher creativity and innovation.
