FACE THE MUSIC: Going Beyond the Corporate Blues
How will you, and your organization, be different as
a result of
participating in a FACE THE MUSIC?
We have no idea. As with everything in life, it's really up to you. Nevertheless,
here are some possibilities suggested by past participants:
- You'll feel energized and less stressed
- You'll take yourself (and your problems) less seriously
- You'll get deep insight into your company's specific "blues"
- You'll catalyze risk taking behavior and teamwork
- You'll make several "back to the job translations" about
how writing and singing the blues in a room full of people under tight
time constraints is exactly like the challenges you are facing in today's
crazy marketplace
- You'll begin the process of ensuring that youre not singing
the same blues next year
- You'll create a common language/experience with others that will make
it less threatening for your company to tackle some difficult business
and corporate culture issues
What Thomas Hawley of Food Ingredients Services Said:
"During the course of our three day meeting, we had some tough and contentious
issues to tackle. I wanted to end the meeting with an activity that would
bring people together in a positive way. Something that would be fun,
yet of real substance and value. Your high energy 'Face the Music' program
was just the thing! It provided the opportunity for teamwork, a little
venting and a lot of fun. We got everything we wanted -- and more." --Thomas
Hawley, Food Ingredients Services
Description:
In this lively session, you will learn to write the blues and even perform
your songs for your fellow attendees at Convergence 2000. Singing the
"corporate blues" will offer you a chance to laugh along with
others about the stresses we face working in organizations. Laying these
issues out on the table will give you a new perspective on your challenges
as you set out to work on them through the rest of Convergence 2000.
