Know Yourself First Self Assessment--When asked how to change the world we live in, Indian philosopher Krishnamurti was fond of answering, "Why don't YOU change?" Talking to Innovation Network members, we've seen the value of understanding oneself as a way of increasing one's ability to understand, and communicate with, others. For more on assessments, see the "Assessments for the Future" report comparing a variety of assessments.
Kirton
Adaptor-Innovator Assessment--The KAI measures
people on their style of problem solving and creativity. To use the KAI,
one must be certified in it as Innovation Network Director Charlie
Prather is.
Herrmann
Brain Dominance Instrument (HBDI)-- As a professional
artist for many years, Ned Herrmann became curious about the nature and
source of creativity. Upon exploration, it became suddenly clear to him
that the source of creativity was the brain. Pursuing that "aha" led to
the whole brain concept and the development of the HBDI, which you can
take online at the HBDI website.
Myers-Briggs
Personality Types --The Myers-Briggs is one
of the most well-known personality tests, and there's a free online shortened
version here,
as well as descriptions of the temperaments and famous people with the
same temperament. You can find complete descriptions in David Keirsey's
book, Please
Understand Me II.
Jump
Start Your Brain--This book by Doug Hall includes
an individual creativity assessment, as well as lots of tools for increasing
